Do you know exactly which scripts are running on your checkout page right now? Your contact forms? Your membership areas?
Every unchecked script on your website is a potential compliance risk that could cost you thousands in fines.
That’s why I’m incredibly excited to announce the release of WPConsent 1.0.6!
You can now tell the scanner which pages are important to scan, or use the list of page automatically suggested by WPConsent. This way, you don’t miss any hidden scripts and ensure complete compliance with privacy laws.
That’s not all, you’ll also find a new Default Allow option that changes the way cookies are blocked, automatically delete plugin data when uninstalling, and more.
With that, let’s dive into the details.
Select Which Pages to Scan with Improved Scanner
Over the past few weeks, our team has been listening to your feedback and now has made the WPConsent scanner even more powerful!
You can now easily select exactly which pages on your website you want to scan for scripts and cookies. No more waiting for a full site scan if you only need to check a few key areas.
Even better, the scanner now includes an auto-suggestion feature. It intelligently suggests common and relevant pages that are likely to contain tracking scripts. For example, these pages might include the checkout page, contact page, contact us page, shopping cart, and more.
Simply head to WPConsent » Scanner from your WordPress dashboard and click the ‘Select content to scan’ dropdown menu to pick your pages. You’ll also see pages automatically recommended by WPConsent.

By specifying which pages to scan, you can reduce the scan time and focus on important pages. Plus, you get more control, as you don’t have to manually hunt for tracking scripts.
Change Cookie Blocking Settings Using the Default Allow Option
In WPConsent 1.0.6, you’ll find a new setting called ‘Default Allow’ that changes the way cookies are blocked on your site.

By default, WPConsent will prevent cookies from being added to your site by blocking scripts and embedded iframes (like a YouTube video) before consent is given.
However, if you enable the Default Allow option, then the scripts and iframes will be loaded until the user rejects them. If the user rejects the cookies, the cookies will be cleared and the page will reload to reflect the new consent choice.
This provides a smoother experience for visitors if your jurisdiction allows it, while still fully respecting their decision if they opt out.
Automatically Remove Plugin Data When Uninstalling
Would you like to remove all the data in WPConsent when you uninstall the plugin?
WPConsent 1.0.6 introduces a Remove all data option within the settings to completely delete all plugin data from your database when the plugin is uninstalled.
Enabling this ensures a clean removal if you ever decide to stop using WPConsent.

Besides that, you’ll also find more improvements and enhancements in this latest release.
For instance, our improved Google Consent Mode works seamlessly with popular Google Analytics plugins, like MonsterInsights. This ensures that your site complies with different data privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA.
With that, WPConsent 1.0.6 is now live! You can try the new improved scanner, new Default Allow option, and other features.
So, are you ready to make your website fully compliant? Give WPConsent 1.0.6 a try today and see the difference proper consent management makes.
