Get ready for a powerful new addition to the WPConsent family!
I am excited to announce the release of our Do Not Track addon. It’s designed to help you effortlessly comply with privacy regulations like CCPA and GDPR.
Using the addon, you can provide visitors with a dedicated “Do Not Track” page, where they can submit their opt-out request quickly and easily.
That’s not all. In WPConsent 1.0.8, you can now allow users to manage consent by services in the preferences panel, show a floating settings button on your site, and more.
Let’s look at all the details…
NEW Do Not Track Addon to Manage Requests
Do you want to stay transparent and ahead of evolving privacy standards?
Privacy regulations like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provide users the right to request companies to not sell or share their personal information with third parties. As a result, businesses need to provide users with clear ways to opt out of data collection.
This is where our new addon comes in handy. You can use it to give users a professional, easy-to-use system for submitting Do Not Track requests, all without touching a single line of code.
The best part is that all the requests are stored locally in a custom table on your own site, ensuring you maintain full control over your data. Plus, it’s full multilingual support from WPConsent core, which means you can create, show, and process requests in different languages.
Here’s everything you can do with the new Do Not Track addon:
1-Click Page Setup for Do Not Track Requests
Using the addon, you get set up a dedicated page with 1-click and add a Do Not Track form.
Simply head to WPConsent » Do Not Track from the WordPress admin panel and switch to the ‘Configuration’ tab.
From here, you can click the Generate Do Not Track Page button, and it will instantly put together a page complete with a request form, saving you valuable time and effort.

Besides that, you can also select an existing page using the dropdown menu and pick where you’d like to display the do no track form.
Customize Do Not Track Form Fields
The new WPConsent Do Not Track addon also lets you customize the form fields.
You can change the text of each field label and enable different field to display in form.
By default, the form will show the first name, last name, and email fields enabled. However, you can add more fields, such as address, ZIP code, city, country, and phone.

Complete Request Tracking
The Do Not Track addon also lets you keep a clear record of all requests.
Under the ‘Requests’ tab, you can see all the requests submitted by your visitors. You can then simply select the requests and process them for better compliance.
The best part is that the addon automatically timestamps each submission and allows you to track when the request was made and processed, simplifying your data audits.

Built-in Spam Protection
The addon also features automatic integration with WPForms for spam protection, giving you access to their three advanced CAPTCHA options:
- Google reCAPTCHA
- hCaptcha
- Cloudflare Turnstile
This anti-spam technique helps you protect your website from spam and abuse while letting real people pass through with ease.

Effortlessly Export Do Not Track Request
The Do Not Track addon also lets you easily export requests for processing.
You can switch to the ‘Export’ tab and then pick a date range to export the requests.
Plus, you will also have the option to automatically mark exported entries as ‘processed’ to streamline your workflow or only export ‘not processed’ entries.

Manage Consent by Service in the Preferences Panel
In WPConsent 1.0.8, we added a new option to allow your users to manage consent by service in the preferences panel.
Your users can now choose individual services like Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, YouTube embeds, and more instead of just accepting entire categories.
This breakthrough feature displays each service with clear descriptions of what data it collects and why. For example, instead of a vague ‘Statistics’ category, users see ‘Google Analytics’ with its own toggle switch.
This reduces consent fatigue while building trust through transparency. Users feel empowered to make informed decisions, leading to higher consent rates and better compliance with privacy laws.
To start, simply head to WPConsent Settings and navigate to the ‘Cookie Configuration’ section. From here, you can enable the Toggle Services option.

This allows users to view different services in the preferences panel in the cookie consent banner.
For instance, here’s a preview of how services will appear under every category in the cookie preferences. Users can simply choose to allow or reject cookies for each service.

Show a Floating Settings Icon to Manage Consent
Another new feature you’ll find in WPConsent 1.0.8 is a floating settings icon that will appear once a user accepts or rejects cookies. This allows your visitors to manage consent after the banner is dismissed.
To get started, you can visit the WPConsent’s settings page and enable the Settings Button option.

Next, you can also edit the settings button icon by going to WPConsent » Banner Design from the WordPress dashboard.
Under the ‘Style’ tab, scroll down to the Floating Settings Button Design section. Here, you can upload your own SVG or PNG files or choose from a library of professional icons. You can adjust the size, color, and positioning of the floating button to ensure it integrates seamlessly with your site design.

This small but crucial detail helps maintain design consistency and user trust throughout their entire site experience.
Here’s a preview of how the floating settings button will look like once a user closes the cookie consent banner.

With that, WPConsent 1.0.8 is available now and ready to transform how your visitors interact with your privacy settings.
The latest version gives you the flexibility to create a privacy experience that actually serves both your users and your business needs.
So upgrade to WPConsent 1.0.8 today and try the new Do Not Track addon!
